Terms of Service
Last updated: July 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of My Virtual Postcard (the "service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
My Virtual Postcard lets you design a digital postcard from a photo or PDF, add a personal message, and share it with a recipient through a private link, by email, or through messaging apps. Some features, current limits, and pricing (currently free) may change over time; we will do our best to let you know about material changes before they take effect.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Upload or send content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or invite people who have not agreed to receive a card from you.
- Attempt to bypass the limits we put in place, such as the number of devices a personal link can be opened on, or the maximum number of recipients per send.
- Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts or cards.
- Use the service to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, remove content that violates them, or limit access to features such as bulk invites where we detect abuse.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, messages, and other content you upload ("your content"). By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you and the recipients you choose to share it with. You are responsible for making sure you have the necessary rights to any photo or content you upload, and for the accuracy of what you send.
Sharing, personal links, and recipients
Links you create to share a card are meant for the person you intend to send them to. To help keep a card private to its intended recipient, a personal link may be limited to a set number of distinct devices, and we may offer a one-time code, sent to a known email address, to unlock it on a new device. Bulk email invites are currently capped at a maximum number of recipients per send, and the "collect emails" feature is capped per card, to keep the service reliable for everyone. Recipients do not need an account to open a shared card.
Free service and future changes
My Virtual Postcard is currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans or usage-based limits in the future (for example, a limit on how many recipients you can invite for free); if we do, we will not silently start charging you and will give you clear notice and, where required, obtain your consent before any charge.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available and your cards accessible, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Virtual Postcard will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of a shared card, or a card not being delivered or opened. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if required by law. On deletion, your cards and share links are removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and, for material changes, let signed-in users know. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
